The civilian “Khedher al-Huwaish”, the owner of al-Huwaish bakery in Al-Azbah area north of Deir Ezzor, was beaten at his home last night by a gang claiming to belong to Daesh, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.
Our correspondent added, that al-Huwaish was repeatedly threatened by unknown men who demanded him two weeks ago to pay them $10,000 and two pistols, otherwise he will be killed, but al-Huwaish did not listen to the threatenings, so the gang broke into his house, beat him and stole 5 million Syrian pounds, two Kalashnikovs and his car.
It is noteworthy that this incident is the second of its kind in few days, where a similar incident occurred few days ago in Ash-Shahil city but the resident were able to arrest one member of the gang and kill another. All fingers point to former elements of Daesh, and cells belonging to the Assad regime.
