Local sources in Al-Hasakah Governorate reported that a minefield was found in the vicinity of the Al-Milbiyah silos located near the city of Al-Hasakah.
Specialized engineering teams began field survey work and removed mines and unexploded ordnance from the area, as part of measures aimed at securing the site and protecting civilians and workers in the vicinity of the silos.
The concerned authorities called on residents not to approach the site or pass through uninhabited areas near it, and to adhere to the instructions issued by the engineering teams, until the end of the cleansing operations is announced and it is confirmed that the area is free of hazardous waste.
These measures come within the framework of reducing the risks of mines and unexploded ordnance, and ensuring the safety of residents and workers in the area.
