Today, widespread fires broke out in the vicinity of the villages of Umm Eshbah and Al-Mubarakiya on the road linking Al-Derbasiyah and Ras Al-Ain in Hasakah countryside, causing the burning of vast areas of agricultural land and causing damage to crops.
Civil defense teams, in cooperation with the Internal Security Forces, elements of the Ministry of Defense, and with the participation of the residents, worked to make intensive efforts to control the fire and prevent its spread. However, field operations face great difficulties due to the presence of mines and military remnants spread throughout the area.
On the other hand, teams from the Emergency and Disaster Management Directorate in Al-Hasakah Governorate were able to extinguish 12 fires that broke out in different areas, and their spread to additional areas was prevented. The damage was limited to material losses represented by burning agricultural lands and grasses, without any human casualties.
