Al-Jubaila neighborhood in the city of Deir Ezzor witnessed a noticeable recovery in the reconstruction work carried out by the people, as a result of the significant increase in rents for homes and shops in the neighborhood in particular, and in the city of Deir Ezzor in general.
Dozens of residents began rebuilding their destroyed homes in Al- Jubaila neighborhood, which was subjected to widespread destruction over the past years, following their return from areas of displacement and diaspora.
Abdullah Al-Hassoun, a resident of the neighborhood, confirmed to Deir Ezzor-24 network that the reconstruction operations came as a result of the significant increase in house rents, in addition to the urgent need for housing after he returned with a number of his relatives from Turkey to settle in the city of Deir Ezzor, which prompted them to restore their damaged homes.
Al-Hassoun added that the reconstruction movement is not limited to Al-Jubailah neighborhood only, but also extends to Al-Qusour, Al-Joura, and Al-Arfi neighborhoods within the city of Deir Ezzor.
The residents appealed to the relevant authorities to enact deterrent laws and measures to limit the exploitation of some real estate office owners and property owners, and to control the unjustified increase in rents for residential homes and shops.
