DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
The Immigration and Passports Department of the Assad regime suspended regular (slow) passports for the second time, for a period of forty days last night, according to the decision of the Ministry of Interior.
The suspension of the process of issuing the second passport comes after the first time, which lasted for two months, to provide an opportunity for urgent passports, which generate millions of pounds, to be seized.
The reservation of passports via the electronic platform is carried out in two ways, the first is slow, exceeding 4 months, except for postponement, at a cost of 200,000 pounds, and the second is urgent, within a period not exceeding a week, at an amount of one million and five thousand pounds.
The price of urgent passport issuance in Deir Ezzor is 4 million Syrian pounds, with the manipulation of the Immigration Department and the division of passport numbers between the provincial police chief and the leaders of the security branches.
