On Sunday, September 6, leaders of the National Defense Militia (NDF) in Deir Ezzor visited Al-Masrab town in the western Deir Ezzor countryside to know the latest developments, Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent said.
According to the correspondent, during the visit, the leadership met with group leaders and a number of the town’s elders, to know their position of the appointment of “Abu Nizar” as a new commander of the NDF in the western Deir Ezzor countryside after the former one, Nizar al-Kharfan, was killed in the past few days.
The NDF militia redistributed its points in the badiyah and replaced some of the members.
After the recent attacks on the militias’ posts in the western Deir Ezzor countryside, the NDF militia raised alert among its members, and its leadership conducted several meetings that resulted in radical changes in the distribution of points, members and even leaders.
