This morning, Friday, the international Coalition’s jets launched intensified airstrikes on positions belonging to Daesh on the outskirts of Al-Baghuz town in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.
There were also clashes between Daesh and the SDF on the outskirts of the same town, amid intermittent artillery shelling from the SDF on the area controlled by the organization.
The airstrikes came in conjunction with the last phase of Al Jazeera Storm campaign launched by the SDF and the International Coalition to expel Daesh from its last pocket east of the Euphrates.
It is indicated that the SDF had been able to take control of positions belonging to Daesh in Al-Baghuz Fawqani town in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, following fierce battles with the organization.
