Two days ago, elements from Daesh targeted a military vehicle driven by Ahmad Abu Khawla, the commander of the SDF-linked Deir Ezzor military council in Al-Rubiydhah town in Deir Ezzor countryside.
According to sources for D 24 network, the commander of Deir Ezzor Military Council survived the assassination attempt, as his car was armored and bulletproof.
The sources indicated that, through the details of the operation, Daesh elements wanted to capture Ahmed Abu Khawla, but their operation failed.
Following the assassination attempt, there were clashes between elements of the organization and the SDF in Al-Rubiydhah town in Deir Ezzor countryside.
It is noted that the assassination of the SDF leaders has intensified, as Leilwa Al-Abdullah survived an assassination attempt on Al-Hasakah-Deir Ezzor international road.
