Local sources told D24 network that the international coalition aircraft targeted oil tankers and pipelines, especially the pipelines from Ash-Shahil city to Buqruss town in the west bank of the Euphrates river.
According to the sources, US special forces, together with the SDF, blew up the ferries and oil tankers on the Euphrates river in Ash-Shahil city, east of Deir Ezzor.
The campaign carried out by the international coalition and the SDF followed the increase in the oil smuggling from the eastern Euphrates to the areas controlled by the Assad regime in the west of the Euphrates.
It is noteworthy that people in Deir Ezzor countryside have staged demonstrations, calling on the SDF to stop oil smuggling to the Assad regime, and seek to reduce fuel prices in the region.
