Today, Thursday, July 25, 2019, security forces of the SDF arrested an element of Daesh, Ammar Hanu al-Matori, south of al-Hasakah.
The preliminary investigations indicated that Al-Matori was a member of Daesh intelligence in al-Arisha area, which is an important center for the organization’s leaders, and he was in constant contact with Daesh leaders in Raqqa, and until his arrest, he had been an active member in one of Daesh sleeper cells.
It is known that Daesh cells have recently increased their military actions in secret, especially in Deir Ezzor province, which continues to pose a threat to civilian lives in the region.
The arrest of al-Matori will help to arrest more of Daesh leaders and secret cells, which will reduce the size of the operations led by these cells and limit their role in Deir Ezzor in particular.
