Yesterday, Wednesday, a group of farmers from Al-Hawayej town east of Deir Ezzor found a bomb ready to be detonated in an agricultural land, Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent said.
According to the correspondent, the device was big and heavy. After seeing it, the locals informed the Syrian democratic forces of its place, which, in turn, removed it from the site.
Following the incident, the SDF erected several checkpoints at the entrances of the town, and carried out a thorough search, particularly on the bearers of weapons, and confiscated a number of weapons.
It is indicated that Daesh cells and groups affiliated with Assad’s forces are occasionally active in the SDF-held areas of Deir Ezzor countryside, carrying out terrorist operations, such as killings and lootings, against the people of the region.
