Deir Ezzor 24 network learned from sources that defections took place among the national defense militia in Deir Ezzor.
The sources said that the recent defections among the national defense militia in Deir Ezzor took place because Assad regime has been sending them to fight alongside its forces in Idlib and Aleppo, where many of them have been killed after they were positioned on the front lines.
The sources confirmed that after coordinating with Russia and Iran, Assad’s forces have moved groups of the national defense militia to Aleppo and Idlib to support them in their battles, but a large number of them have been killed there, with some bodies still in the battlefields, which led to the defection of a number of elements immediately after their return to Deir Ezzor.
Assad’s forces, along with the Russian forces and Iranian militias, have been engaged in intense battles against the opposition factions in Idlib and Aleppo countryside, during which many of their elements have been killed, which forced them to send the National Defense Militia to those battles.
