An International Coalition official delivered statements to the Deir Ezzor 24 Network about the recent incidents in the Deir Ezzor countryside, East of the Euphrates, mainly assassinating tribal dignitaries.
The statements said, “International Coalition Commandership in Deir Ezzor condemns terrorist operations against civilians and prominent figures in the area such as killing Sheikh Mutashar al-Hamoud al-Hafal and his companion Da’ar al-Mukhlef, killing the Mukhtar Ali al-Wais , and Suleiman al-Kasar the spokesman for the al-Akidat tribe.
The International Coalition works with the Deir Ezzor Civil Council in coordination with Arab sheikhs and tribal leaders to chase Daesh members or other hostiles who seek destabilizing the area and dividing people by killing innocents.
Cooperation between the International Coalition, tribal leaders, and the Syrian Democratic Forces ended the Daesh so-called caliphate. Our current mission is working together for peace and sustaining security and stability, and defeating Daesh”, the official added.
The official’s statements reflect the International Coalition’s clear interest in closely following the recent assassinations that targeted sheikhs and tribal dignitaries from Deir Ezzor.
