A source told Deir Ezzor 24 network that a well-known Shia family in Deir Ezzor was infected with coronavirus.
The source said that in the past few days, members of “al-Raja” family were infected with coronavirus in Hatlah town. They were quarantined in their homes after contacting many residents of the town.
An elderly woman died from coronavirus infection last Tuesday at Al-Assad Hospital in Deir Ezzor. A mosque muezzin also died from coronavirus infection in Al-Hawayej town (west of the Euphrates).
Coronavirus spread significantly in Assad regime-held areas in all of Syria in general, while the medical personnel pay no attention to the magnitude of the disaster.
