Maintenance crews at the Water Resources Directorate in Deir Ezzor continue their work in the third sector, as part of their efforts to maintain the readiness of irrigation networks and improve the efficiency of transporting water to agricultural lands.
The work included isolating and cleaning a number of water channels towards the lifting station, in addition to removing weeds and plants that impede the movement of water, which contributes to improving its flow and ensuring its access to the beneficiary agricultural lands.
These works come within the framework of the Water Resources Directorate’s plan to raise the efficiency of irrigation networks and reduce leakage and waste, which will help secure irrigation water and its continued access to agricultural lands, and support agricultural activity in the area.
