This afternoon, Friday 4-10-2019, protests were launched in several areas of the northern Deir Ezzor countryside to demand the expulsion of the Assad’s forces and Iranian militias from villages and towns east of the Euphrates, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.
Our correspondent said that the protests were held after Friday prayers in several areas, most notably, Maezila and Al-Azbah towns, under the slogan “You can not kill our revolution”. The protestors gathered near the industrial zone roundabout north of Deir Ezzor and chanted slogans, demanding the expulsion of the Iranian militias, the Assad’s forces and the Russian militias from the eastern Euphrates, and the return of the displaced people to their towns and lands, they also raised slogans, asserting their adherence to the revolution principles.
Some of the videos of Deir Ezzor’s protests showed the protesters taking a revolutionary oath to continue their protests and use force if the Assad’s forces and their militias didn’t withdraw from the eastern Euphrates within a week.
It is noteworthy that the region have been witnessing a popular movement and peaceful protests against the presence of the Assad regime and its followers in the eastern Euphrates for weeks.
