Ahmed Ayed Al-Kisom Al-Ghadban, born in the town of Al-Jafra in 1968, is the cousin of the father of the Secretary of the Baath Party branch in Deir Ezzor, Raed Ali Al-Ghadban and a commander in the National Defense Militia in Deir Ezzor, Hassan Al-Ghadban.
He began his technical career in the Al-Taym field. As for his leadership career, it began with the position of Secretary of the First Rural Division. With the beginning of the siege of the military airport, the event that earned Al-Jafra a place in Deir Ezzor, the sons of Al-Ghadban formed the National Defense Militia, as the first line of defense for the airport. It was “Abu Ayed” and his sons the first to join the ranks of the militia.
Abu Ayed lost his eldest son, during the battles that took place when Assad’s forces entered to breake the siege on the airport. He has a son “Ahmed” who serves in the criminal security branch in Deir Ezzor, and he has 3 daughters.
One of his daughters, Maryam, arrived at the parliament dome, representing the Ba’ath Party front, and he was appointed commander of the Ba’ath Brigades in Deir Ezzor by a decision of Bassem Sudan, a member of the Central Committee of the Ba’ath Party in Damascus, to succeed Salem Al-Matras from the Baggara clan, who fell ill. health led to his dismissal from his position.
It is noteworthy that the number of Baath Brigades in Deir Ezzor has decreased, reaching 100, as a result of their salaries dropping to 12,500 Syrian pounds per month, in addition to the salaries they receive during their work as assigned workers in the Furat Spinning and Weaving Company, as the factory is located outside the Assad-controlled areas, near the 7 km roundabout, under the control of the SDF.
The uniforms they wear vary between civilian and military, in the headquarters of the Peasants’ Union, which is taken as headquarters by the Baath Party, and they acquire automatic rifles and pistols, and they carry cards bearing the name of the Baath Brigades, which authorize them to slander and broker in the circles of the Assad regime.
The militia’s mission is currently confined to guarding the branch headquarters, the party preparation building, and the people of the city and the countryside, as well as guarding the villa of Raed al-Ghadban in the Harabish neighborhood, east of Deir Ezzor.
Abu Ayed had earlier accused the residents of Al-Marayyah town of blowing up his house, located in the town of Al-Jufra, which he rehabilitated.
