The School Health Department of the Directorate of Education in Deir Ezzor organized a training course titled The Health Education Program at the headquarters of the Rehabilitation and Training Department in the city of Deir Ezzor.
The course began on Monday, October 27, and will continue for four days targeting staff members working within the School Health Department.
The lectures are delivered by Dr. Khalil Al-Hader, Head of the Department, and Ms. Manal Hayzeh, Health Education Supervisor.
This course comes as part of the plan of the Syrian Ministry of Education, aiming to enhance the competence of school health staff and strengthen their skills in the field of health education, contributing to improving the overall health conditions of students and workers in the educational sector.
Dr. Khalil Al-Hader emphasized that this course represents an important step toward developing the capabilities of those working in school health, by providing them with the knowledge and skills necessary to address various health issues within schools.
For her part, Ms. Manal Hayzeh explained that the program includes a range of awareness topics focusing on methods of health education, disease prevention, and ways to promote positive health behaviors among students.
The first sessions of the course concluded with noticeable interaction from the participants, who expressed their appreciation for this initiative aimed at improving the level of health services in schools.
