The SDF announced a series of decisions that emerged from a meeting with its political wing, “MSD”, today, regarding dealing with the new Syrian government.
The SDF said that it was agreed to integrate SDF and the security institutions affiliated with the Self-rule Administration within the structure of the Syrian army, reactivate the civil and service institutions affiliated with the state in northern and eastern Syria, and withdraw non-Syrian foreign fighters from the ranks of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the region of northeastern Syria as a step to enhance national sovereignty and stability.
It also confirmed the agreement to enhance coordination with the Syrian government and intensify meetings to improve cooperation on national issues, emphasize the unity of Syria and facilitate the return of the displaced and immigrants to their cities and villages and provide appropriate conditions for their lives, and agree to form joint committees to develop plans and executive mechanisms to ensure the effective implementation of the provisions.
At the end of the statement, SDF and MSD congratulated President “Ahmed al-Sharaa” on assuming the leadership of Syria in the transitional phase, and invited him to visit the regions of northeastern Syria.
