The residents of Deir Ezzor city in general, and dozens of residents of the almost completely destroyed Al-Rashidiya neighborhood in particular, have been suffering from the spread of war remnants and mines for years, according to a DeirEzzor24 Network.
Our reporter said that dozens of landmines and war remnants (explosive devices, unexploded shells) are spread in Al-Rashidiya neighborhood in Deir Ezzor city, where these mines and war remnants have spread since the battles between ISIS and the former regime several years ago, and the forces of the former regime have not dismantled or removed them over the past years.
He added that at the beginning of the liberation of Deir Ezzor city after the fall of the Assad regime and the entry of the Military Operations Administration following the withdrawal of the SDF from it, some cases of serious injuries were recorded due to the explosion of landmines in Al-Rashidiya neighborhood in Deir Ezzor city, according to doctors at the National Hospital (formerly Al-Assad Hospital) in Deir Ezzor city.
The people of Deir Ezzor appealed to the new Syrian government to remove the remnants of war on the one hand and the rubble and debris on the other hand in order to facilitate the reconstruction process in this Al-Rashdiya neighborhood, which is one of the largest neighborhoods in Deir Ezzor and is almost completely destroyed.
