Deir Ezzor 24 exclusive:
Sources confirmed to Deir Ezzor 24 network that today, Friday, the Russian forces entered al-Jalaa town in the countryside of al-Bukamal city east of Deir Ezzor.
The sources added that the Russian forces brought military equipment and deployed elements in the town, in preparation for the establishment of headquarters for their forces in the town that is located on al-Mayadeen-Al-Bukamal main road.
The deployment of Russian forces in the town coincided with a significant security tightening as the Russian forces passed through different areas of Deir Ezzor countryside, without information about the nature and causes of the military deployment.
The sources noted that the Russian forces had a small presence in Deir Ezzor countryside in the past period, but their activities have increased recently, especially in the areas near the border with Iraq.
It is noteworthy that the Iranian forces and Tehran-backed militias dominate the entire eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, where Deir Ezzor countryside, especially the border areas, are of great importance to the Iranian forces.
