The Media Directorate in Raqqa Governorate launched a service initiative aimed at helping farmers register through the Syrian Grains Corporation platform, in a step aimed at facilitating crop marketing procedures and enhancing farmers’ benefit from new digital services.
The Director of Government Media in Raqqa, Abboud Hamam, explained that the initiative came in response to the challenges faced by a number of farmers as a result of limited technical expertise in dealing with the electronic platform, noting that this step falls within the government media plan aimed at supporting service institutions and improving the level of services provided to citizens.
Hamam explained that a volunteer team equipped with satellite internet service has been formed to support farmers in completing registration processes, in addition to implementing a media campaign aimed at spreading awareness of the mechanism for using the platform and keeping pace with grain marketing operations in various areas of the governorate.
He stressed that the initiative seeks to provide media and technical support to the Grains Corporation, and follow up on crop deliveries in the field, which contributes to facilitating procedures for farmers, ensuring that they benefit from the new electronic system, and enhancing communication between the concerned authorities and agricultural producers during the current marketing season.
