The Iranian Revolutionary Guard militia seized the truffle areas in Al-Bukamal desert in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, according to a DeirEzzor24 network reporter.
Our reporter said that the militia declared these areas “security” zones to which civilians are prohibited from entering, to restrict truffle resources to the leaders responsible for the region, led by “Abu Issa al-Mashhadani,” commander of the 47th Regiment militia.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard militia collects truffles through its workers and members and sells them in outside cities or smuggles them to Iraq through the PMF-run military crossing.
