The Tal Abyad border crossing witnessed the crossing of the first transit convoy coming from Turkish territory and heading to Iraq through the Al-Yarubiyah crossing, in a step that reflects the return of revitalizing regional commercial transport movement through Syrian territory, and strengthening the country’s role as a logistical corridor linking the countries of the region.

This step comes within the efforts aimed at reactivating international transit lines and facilitating the movement of trade and land transport between neighboring countries, which contributes to supporting economic activity and raising the efficiency of the movement of goods through border crossings.

The General Authority of Crossings and Customs confirmed its continued adoption of the necessary measures to facilitate transit and customs clearance operations, noting the work to raise operational and logistical readiness at border crossings to ensure the smooth flow of shipping and commercial transport.
