DeirEzzor24 exclusive report
In light of the deteriorating economic conditions,The General Organization for Printing raised the prices of textbooks for secondary and vocational education in Syria, which led to a general
shock among the students’ families.
The price of a copy of the textbook for the tenth grade this year amounted to 48,300 Syrian pounds, while the price of a copy of the book for the eleventh grade reached 54,800 Syrian pounds, and the price of a copy of books for baccalaureate students this year reached 49,800 Syrian pounds.
Which threatens to leave dozens of students at school because of the financial burdens that education places on the students’ families.
In this context, the correspondent of Deir Ezzor 24 network said that the administrators of the Iranian Cultural Center in Deir Ezzor promised the students who are conducting courses at the center now, to pay the price of copies of new books, if they continued to commit to attending the center’s activities.
It is worth noting that the Iranian Cultural Center is taking advantage of the collapsed economic situation in Deir Ezzor, to pass its project aimed at attracting children and young people and their funerals.
