At dawn today, global coalition forces, who are stationed at the Omar oil field base in eastern Deir Ezzor, fired rockets towards Iranian militia positions in the city of Al-Mayadeen, according to a local reporter of the DeirEzzor24 network.
According to the reporter, the rockets fell near the farms area south of Al-Mayadeen, which consists of a camp belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard militia, resulting in no casualties. Some rockets landed in the desert.
In response, the Iranian militias fired rockets from a site in Al-Mayadeen and another in the Al-Quria desert, east of Deir Ezzor, which landed in the vicinity of the coalition base in the Omar field.
This exchange of rocket fire between the coalition and the Iranian militias, in Deir Ezzor, is the third of its kind in less than 48 hours
