The security of the Fourth Division of the Assad forces transferred a large group of prisoners from the Hama, Latakia, and Tartous governorates and those convicted of drug crimes (exclusively) to the division’s checkpoints in the Deir Ez-Zor governorate, according to what a DeirEzzor24 network correspondent reported.
Our correspondent said that the division placed these convicts at its checkpoints in Deir Ezzor to collect cash on all goods and cargo, in addition to the river crossings and smuggling routes.
It is noteworthy that this is the second time that the Fourth Division transports convicts to support its barriers in Deir Ezzor, after 2019, when a group of Assassins and elderly people were brought in from the prisons of Homs and the coast after giving them the option of paid service in Deir Ezzor instead of days in prison, with the length of time calculated.
