Yesterday, Wednesday, 27 May 2020, the Education Authority of the autonomous administration’s executive council in northeastern Syria issued a decision to end the current school year of 2019-2020 throughout the administration areas.
The decision stated:
All students and pupils will be moved to the next higher grades for the next school year 2020-2021, and the educational process will continue online to compensate the students for what they have lost,
and the secondary certificate examinations will be identified and conducted “in the Euphrates and Afrin regions”.
It is indicated that all schools in the areas controlled by the autonomous administration have been closed for nearly two months due to the measures taken to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
