Deir Ezzor 24 exclusive:
Today, Wednesday, sources confirmed to Deir Ezzor 24 network that the Assad’s forces deployed elements from the Fourth Division near Al-Bukamal border crossing with Iraq.
The sources pointed out that the decision of the Assad’s forces to deploy elements from the Fourth Division in the area came after the Iranian militias changed their military positions in the region.
The sources noted that the Assad’s forces also deployed elements from the National Defense Militia around al-Bukamal city to show that the Assad’s militias are the ones who control the city not the Iranians.
The elements were brought in from several villages in the Deir Ezzor countryside, including Al-Mayadeen city in eastern Deir Ezzor. It is noted that the decision coincided with a significant Israeli escalation on the border with Iraq.
It is noteworthy that Deir Ezzor 24 network has previously reported that the Iranian militias had changed their military positions around Al-Bukamal city for fear of being targeted by the Israeli aircraft.
