The Governor of Deir Ezzor, Mr. Ghassan Al-Sayyed Ahmad, along with his deputy, Badri Al-Masloukh, members of the executive council of the governorate, and the head of the city council, Engineer Majed Hattab, conducted a field tour of the sites designated for the construction of a new city.
The tour included the site of the sports city and its surroundings, the vicinity of the youth housing project, and the site of the Al-Ruwad Association. The governor confirmed that the plans are ready and that execution will begin as soon as possible.
He explained that the new city will be built according to modern urban planning and advanced architectural principles that reflect the dignity of the governorate. It will be a fully integrated city, replacing the neighborhoods destroyed by the former regime, and will be capable of accommodating returnees among the displaced and refugees.
