Smuggling activities between Assad’s and SDF-controlled areas in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor witnessed a remarkable recovery, especially the smuggling of manure, sugar”and straw, according to the price difference, which constitutes a big profit for traders.
While a bag of sugar is sold in al-Assad’s regions for 150 thousand SYP, its price in “SDF” areas reaches 250 thousand, and a bag of fertilizer in al-Assad’s areas costs 70,000 SYP, and in “SDF” areas its price is 165 thousand, and the price of straw in a bag is in “SDF” areas 75 thousand, while it is sold in the Assad areas for 25 thousand pounds.
The supervision of this trade is carried out by the sons of “Nawaf al-Bashir” on the side of the Assad regime, and their relatives on the side of the “SDF.”
