DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:

Haj Mahdi met with the IRGC commanders at their headquarters in Al-Filat neighborhood in Deir Ezzor, after meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister “Amir Abdollahian” in Damascus a few days ago, during his visit to Bashar al-Assad.

Al-Haj Mahdi conveyed to the commanders a message that they must commit to calm and not respond to provocations until the results of the ongoing negotiations aimed at lifting sanctions against the Iranian Revolutionary Guards militia are confirmed.

Deir Ezzor province is considered the most contact area between the American bases, represented by the Al-Omar field and the Konico gas plant, which are located in the Jazira area, which is under the control of the SDF, and the headquarters of the Iranian militias in the areas under the control of the Assad regime, where they are separated by a few kilometers, while the American-Russian relations are in their stages. Worse, according to Russia’s military operation in Ukraine.

Haj Mahdi’s mandate is due to his being the highest Iranian leadership figure in the region, and the supervisor of military and religious matters, as he is expected to occupy the position of commander-in-chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards militia in Syria, as he is supported by Iranian officials.
