The SDF seized 32 residential homes last month, most of which belonged to displaced people from Deir Ezzor and its countryside who had been displaced over the past few years. The SDF claimed that these homes were state-owned and considered public property.
Our correspondent reported that these homes are located in the Panorama area of Raqqa city. Some families confirmed to DeirEzzor24 that they had unsuccessfully approached the SDF’s Public Relations Office in Raqqa in an attempt to reclaim their homes.
The Public Relations Office allowed the families to remove only their furniture from their homes, effective yesterday, for a period not exceeding three days.
The residents, who preferred to remain anonymous, appealed to the DeirEzzor24 network to intervene to restore their homes after the SDF had seized them.
The residents indicated that they had purchased these homes several years ago from their owners living outside Syria through contracts concluded over mobile phones.
