Russian military police have recently arrested a number of “Wagner” militia members from several places in Deir Ezzor, a private source told DeirEzzor24 network.
The source added that the arrestees were foreigners, who had operated in the Russian reconciliation center in the town of Hatla, northeast of Deir Ezzor, and the Taym field, east of the city, before they were transferred to the Russian Hmeimim base in the countryside of Latakia.
These arrests are the results of tension between the “Wagner” militia and the Russian forces in Deir Ezzor, following the assassination of the militia commander, “Yevgeny Prigozhin”, whose plane crashed a few days ago.
