Russia called on some fighters of the local militias in Deir Ezzor to undergo a reconciliation process, as hundreds of fighters from the Iranian militias have applied to undergo status settlement.
Russia also called for the dissolution of the National Defense Militia in Deir Ezzor and its inclusion in Division 17 and the appointment of “Firas Al-Iraqiya” as a member of the security committee in Deir Ezzor.
These Russian moves occurred following the failure of the settlement processes, which were attended by only about 50 young people from the eastern Euphrates regions, while most of the applicants were elderly people and people from the Euphrates Arab towns who are not included in the process for having clean security records.
