A group of residents from the city of Al-Bukamal in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside launched the “Reviving Hope” campaign to clean the city’s streets and remove rubble from destroyed areas, according to a reporter of the DeirEzzor24 network.
Our reporter said that on its second day, the campaign participants targeted the Khalid bin al-Walid area, Ali bin Abi Talib School, and main streets.
Engineer Ali al-Sabri from the “Reviving Hope” campaign confirmed that Al-Bukamal Municipality and Civil Defense teams assisted them in removing accumulated garbage and rubble during the cleanup campaign.
He added that the campaign attracted dozens of volunteers from the youth of Al-Bukamal in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside to participate in the cleanup work on its second day, and it was widely welcomed by the residents of the area.
The campaign participants urged residents to commit to disposing of garbage in designated areas to prevent its accumulation, and to remove rubble outside the city once reconstruction begins.
