The Directorate of Agriculture in Raqqa Governorate began implementing rehabilitation and cleaning works for the Qermukh Valley in the Ain Issa countryside, in response to farmers’ demands and appeals after approximately 600 hectares of agricultural land were damaged as a result of the blockage of the valley’s course.
The work was directed by the Ministry of Agriculture, and in cooperation with the area’s directorate, where the necessary mechanisms and equipment were sent to remove obstacles and clean the valley’s course, which would contribute to restoring water flow and reducing damage to agricultural lands.
The Directorate of Agriculture in Raqqa confirmed its continued response to farmers’ demands, and the continued implementation of service projects that support the agricultural sector, preserve agricultural lands, enhance the sustainability of production and improve the agricultural status in the governorate.
