Owners of home appliances stores, warehouses and electrical stores in Deir Ezzor are suffering from a complete halt in buying and selling recently due to the deterioration of the living conditions of the people of Deir Ezzor, according to a DeirEzzor24 Network monitored.
Our reporter said that this inactivity comes in light of the deterioration of the living conditions of the people who depend on monthly salaries as their basic income and the delay in disbursing them to them.
“Hassan Al-Abdullah”, owner of a home appliance store, told Deir Ezzor 24 network, “We started transporting goods towards the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor towards the city of Al-Mayadeen due to the purchasing power in the countryside compared to the current situation in the city.
He added, “We have not sold anything for about thirty days and we pay rent for a commercial store worth 150 thousand Syrian pounds per month.”
“Asaad Al-Alwan”, owner of a gift and accessories store, told DeirEzzor24, saying, “I was forced to stop the work of two girls who were working in the store due to the inability to pay their financial dues as a result of the recession and inactivity in the markets recently.”
