Recently, prices of medical examinations have increased significantly in Deir Ezzor city, amid lack of oversight by the Directorate of Health, and disregard of the Doctors’ Union of Assad regime.
The price of consulting a doctor reaches 5000 Syrian pounds, and up to 9000 pounds if the patient wants to do an echo test or examine electrocardiography record. The price of tooth treatment such as crown reaches 40,000 Syrian pounds, pulling a tooth is 5000 pounds and surgical pulling 12,000, while the average monthly per capita income is 60,000 Syrian pounds.
The high prices of medical examinations has burdened the people of Deir Ezzor, who already suffer from a deteriorating economic situation, amid negligence of Assad regime officials, who pay no attention to the citizens interests.
