Ten members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps militia (IRGC) were killed and three others were injured, some of the members are foreigners and the others are locals, when US aircraft targeted Aiyash warehouses west of Deir Ezzor city this morning, Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent reported.
Our correspondent said that the strikes targeted three buildings in Aiyash warehouses which led to fires and their destruction.
The camps are controlled by the Afghan Fatemiyoun militia, which is responsible for distributing arms in eastern Syria. The camps also organizes military training courses for local Iranian-backed militias such as Osama Ibrahim-led al-Hussein Brigade and Hajj Sobhi-led Ausud al-Baqir Brigade.
The Central Command of the US Army claimed responsibility for the airstrikes saying, “We bombed 9 hideouts used to store ammunition and logistics for the IRGC militias in Deir Ezzor.
