Two days ago, the Fourth Division of al-Assad’s forces brought in a new detachment on the new dirt bridge linking the town of al-Husayniyah and al-Huwayqa neighborhood in Deir Ezzor; according to the correspondent of DeirEzzor24 network.
Our correspondent said that the elements of the new detachment blackmail citizens and owners of taxis and internal transport buses, to pay money, by obstructing their passage and checking personal cards.
He added that the former members of the detachment used to place royalties only on goods and merchants, unlike the new members, who demand the civilians to pay the money.
The Fourth Division has recently taken control of a number of river crossings between the areas controlled by the Assad regime and SDF in Deir Ezzor, to collect money and run its own smuggling operations.
