D24 obtained new pictures from the besieged neighborhoods of Deir Ezzor city, which are under the control of Assad’s forces and besieged by Daesh, showing those neighborhoods almost empty. The pictures also show that not many students are attending the Assad regime run Al-Furat University and are not also going to some municipalities.
The crippling siege of Deir Ezzor has made civilians there dependent on humanitarian aid, even if they can rarely benefit from them because Assad’s forces control the possession of those aid for most of the time.
