The National Defense Militia (NDF) arrested three of its field commanders in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, according to source for Deir Ezzor 24 network.
The source said that the militia leadership issued arrest warrants against the three commanders after Hassan al-Ghadban surprisingly visited al-Asharah city in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside. Al-Ghadban discovered that the commanders had stolen the salaries of some members, in addition to ammunition, which they sold to unknown persons.
During the past few days, there have been many problems and disagreements among the NDF’s militiamen due to the widespread corruption and the suspension of salaries.
