DeireEzzor24 exclusive report:
The Military Security Branch in Deir Ezzor has tightened its grip on the river crossings, during the past few days, preventing the entry of diesel fuel coming from the SDF-controlled areas to the Assad regime-controlled areas from Deir Ezzor, according to what the correspondent of DeirEzzor24 network reported.
Our correspondent said that these military security measures excluded the fuel coming in for the Qatirji militia and the Fourth Division, while they affected a number of small traders who supply the province with diesel through the free trade stalls.
He added that these measures caused the diesel to be cut off in the Assad regime-controlled areas of Deir Ezzor, and its prices rose significantly while it was available.
He indicated that the diesel outage in the province required the governor of Deir Ezzor, Fadel Najjar, to issue a decision to grant cars that transport wheat to supply centers an amount of 10 liters for each ton of wheat at the subsidized price, from the farmers’ union stations.
The smuggled fuel from SDF-controlled areas (east of the Euphrates) to the Assad regime-controlled areas (west of the Euphrates) from Deir Ezzor, is the main transportation artery, in light of the frequent cuts to subsidized gasoline and diesel.
