The Criminal Security Branch arrested both the head of the agricultural association in the town of Husseiniya, “Awad al-Tair”, the head of the Marat association, “Taysir al-Rakkad” and the head of the “al-Tareef” association, according to the correspondent of DeirEzzor24 network.
Our correspondent added that there is an arrest warrant against 9 heads of agricultural associations in the countryside of Deir Ezzor under the control of the Assad regime, by the Criminal Security Branch, by order of the governor of Deir Ezzor, because the farmers of these associations did not achieve the required percentage of wheat supplies for this season 2022.
The governor of Deir Ezzor, Fadel Najjar, also threatened to imprison anyone who did not import 300 kg per dunum, and to subject the heads of agricultural associations and directors of extension units and agricultural interests to legal accountability.
The quantity of wheat supplies since the beginning of the season has approached 35,000 tons, with the multiplication of seeds, while the expected quantity by the competent committees is 66,000 tons, due to the smuggling of the bulk of the wheat crop to Iraq through the so-called “Iranian Revolutionary Guard” pilgrims, led by “pilgrims.” Kamil and Hajj Askar.
