Reinforcements and military assets belonging to the Ministry of Defense continue to arrive in Deir Ezzor Governorate, to participate in rescue operations, evacuate civilians, and carry out engineering work, following the sharp rise in the water level of the Euphrates River.
In the same context, the Syrian Arab Army Air Force carried out air sorties along the river bed in Deir Ezzor Governorate, as part of the efforts of the Emergency Response Committee, with the aim of supporting evacuation operations and ensuring the transfer of urgent humanitarian cases to specialized medical centers.
The naval forces also continue to evacuate civilians using boats in the Al-Huwaiqah area near Al-Siyasiya Bridge in Deir Ezzor city, as part of the response to the emergency conditions in the area.
In addition, the Ministry of Defense’s heavy machinery is carrying out engineering work, including raising earthen barriers in the village of Al-Mri’iyah in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, with the aim of reducing the leakage of Euphrates River water into homes and agricultural lands.
