A source told the Deir Ezzor 24 that on March 15, 2021, Ghassan al-Yuosef the joint chief of the Deir Ezzor Civil Council met the American Ambassador David Brownstein and officers of the American Army.
The source added that the attendees discussed issues related to the Deir Ezzor countryside, east of the Euphrates, and the area in general. The attendees discussed supporting Deir Ezzor, sustaining stability in the area with all possible means, and devoting capabilities to reaching this aim.
Ambassador Brownstein stressed supporting the civil management in Deir Ezzor and renewed confidence in the management and in the coming change in the area.
The meeting coincided with the 10th anniversary of the Syrian Revolution. The American Administration has been holding periodic meetings with military and civil officials in Deir Ezzor.
