ISIS committed a massacre in Deir Ezzor city yesterday after it excessively shelled the Assad-regime held al-Joura, al-Qusour and Harabish neighbourhoods of Deir Ezzor city, claiming the lives of at least 10 civilians.
Among the martyrs are six children, whose ages are below 10-years-old, along with four women. Most of the martyrs are from the previously mentioned neighbourhoods except for three civilians from the village of Buqruss, in the eastern countryside, who moved to Deir Ezzor city due to the displacement they had been subjected to in their village.
The Assad-regime held neighbourhoods of Deir Ezzor city have been subjected to daily and intensive shelling since ISIS took over Deir Ezzor and managed to impose an appalling and inhuman siege upon the neighbourhoods in early 2015.
It should be noted that ISIS has recently launched an offensive on Deir Ezzor military airport, mainly from the axis of al-Jafra village that is close to the main entrance of the airport, amid heavy areal bombardment and artillery shelling on the vicinity of the strategic military airport and villages nearby it.
