IRGC militia official meets tribal elders in Deir Ezzor

Haj Mahdi, a military official of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard militia (IRGC), met with tribal elders loyal to Assad regime in Deir Ezzor province, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.

The meeting took place following another one named “the Syrian Tribal Forum”, that was held on Wednesday in al-Mayadeen city eastern Deir Ezzor.

According to a source, “Haj Mahdi” and the tribal elders talked about the situation in the region and the necessity of the tribal support to the IRGC militia, to ensure the safety and stability in Deir Ezzor.

The Syrian Tribes forum was held yesterday in al-Mayadeen city in an official presence of Assad regime, represented by the governor of Deir Ezzor, the operations commander in the eastern region and a representative of the Baath party branch.
