The Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) militia commander Hajj Askar ordered to intensify night patrols on the perimeter of al-Bukamal, focus on motorcycle riders and inspect them thoroughly, and arrest recruits who have no tasks that allow them to move around the city.
The IRGC militia controlled farmers, facilities, gas stations, and bakeries, and agricultural lands in al-Bukamal and the areas of al-Suwayíyah and al-Hiri on orders by Hajj Askar. The IRGC imposed taxes on goods entering the city.
